2020 has been a challenging year. How is the British Travel Awards taking this into account?

The Awards company’s extensive research showed that there was a renewed general consensus for consumers to begin to travel again; in whichever way they felt comfortable. The British Travel Awards listened to all and decided to continue with the Awards this year to reflect the consumers desire to travel.

The Awards is also a chance to give a ‘nod’ to how the British Travel Companies have positively reacted and accommodated the Great British public. Also giving the consumers a chance to express their appreciation of their favourite travel companies.

How will the Awards be different?

The Awards are looking to the FUTURE this year. They know that many will still travel, and for most it is an essential part of their year. The Travel Awards are asking voters to reflect on PAST holiday experiences, so that they can vote for those companies and enterprises that have provided them with great products and services most recently.

You may have managed to travel this year – but it is not just about travelling itself. You may have received some great advice about travel, some top customer service on refunds – or help changing a booking. The opinions that matter are the ones that state what is best about travel and the companies that serve you.

The companies in the travel industry (including The Waterside Holiday Group!) want to ensure that there will be fantastic holidays and leisure products available for all in the future, and trusted loyal companies to book through when the current crisis is well and truly behind us. Feedback – and awards – help this immensely.

How will the Awards take place?

The winners will be determined by the consumer, who have until 22nd November 2020 to cast their vote. Due to the COVID crisis, this year the winners will be announced at a pared-down Virtual Event taking place on 14th December.
