Upton House Food & Music Festival
Location: Upton Country Park near Poole
The ticketed event, “the south’s best food, drink & live music festival” has a variety of street food, drinks and live music on.

Swanage Fish & Food Festival
Location: Prince Albert Gardens
Promising guests a “tantalising journey through all things fishy and delicious”, this free festival is the perfect day out for seafood lovers. Set just a stone’s throw from Swanage pier and coast will be stalls offering a wide range of fish, cockles, mussels, scallops, oysters and more!
You’ll also be able to catch live cooking demonstrations of classic fish dishes from top local chefs.
Bridport Food Festival
Location: Askers Meadow
Taking place alongside the Bridport Beer Festival, this ticketed event is the ideal place to grab a spot of lunch on a day trip to the quintessential town of Bridport.
The aim of the organisation running the event is “to promote and support the fantastic food and drink that Bridport and the surrounding areas have to offer.” There are over 60 local food & drink stands!
Get your tickets in advance for £3.50 at the Bridport Tourist Information Centre or buy a ticket at the gate on the day for £5. Children 17 and under enter for free.
Great Dorset Chilli Festival
Location: Stock Gaylard Estate in Sturminster Newton
At this unique event, visitors can take part in chilli eating competitions, chilli plant competitions and chilli sauce competitions. Tickets are available from £8.50 for adults, £19.50 for families and children 10 and under can enter for free.
A variety of cultural food stands will be on offer such as Thai curries, Caribbean curries, Indian curries, samosas, lamb burgers, Greek kebabs, bratwurst, just to name a few!
There will also be a selection of beers, ales and ciders including a chilli cider!

The Sturminster Cheese Festival
Location: Sturminster Newton Recreation Ground
With everything from cheese producers, food producers offering a range of cuisines, crafters and children’s activities, this will be the ideal day out for all cheese lovers! Over 150 food & craft exhibitors will be there to explore so there will be no shortage of cheeses to sample and souvenirs to remember your trip by! Accompanied by live entertainment, music, kids play areas, wine, cider & ale bars, this is not a festival you want to miss!
Free parking is available next to the site. Tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event with under 16s entering for free. The organisers of the event recommend that you bring cash with you to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the stalls!
