Located in nearby Bovington, The Tank Museum is home to over 300 tanks and other military vehicles and offers a fascinating insight into the history of armoured warfare. Weymouth Museum
Explore the town’s rich history and heritage at Weymouth Museum which features exhibits on everything from the Jurassic Coast to the town’s role in the D-Day landings.
Visit this 16th-century house which has been beautifully restored to its original Tudor appearance and features exhibits on local history. Informative guides describe domestic daily life, including furniture and clothing, lighting and candle making. This would make a great focus for a history project!
Abbotsbury Swannery
Pay a visit to this unique attraction set within 25 acres and home to a colony of over 600 swans. During nesting and hatching season from May to June, you may be lucky enough to see a cygnet hatch before your very eyes! Abbotsbury Swannery also offers visitors the chance to hand-feed swans during certain times of the day.
