Is it a high-pressure sales pitch?
Am I expected to buy on the day?
Will it take hours of my time?
At Waterside, we believe in being completely open and honest about what a park visit entails. In fact, many of our owners say booking a visit was the turning point in their holiday home ownership journey.
Here’s exactly what you can expect.
Step One: A Friendly Phone Conversation
Before you even step foot on park, you’ll have a relaxed chat with a specialist member of our experienced holiday home ownership team.
This isn’t just about browsing our catalogue, it’s about understanding:
- What’s sparked your interest in buying a holiday home
- Whether ownership could suit your lifestyle
- Which of our parks might be right for you
- Whether a park visit would genuinely be beneficial
If it feels like a good next step, we’ll book a convenient appointment time that works for you to further discuss your options.
No obligation. No expectation to buy. Just a discovery visit.
Arriving on Park: What Your Day Looks Like
Your Personal Welcome
When you arrive at one of our stunning holiday parks, you’ll have your own dedicated parking bay (or two, if you’re bringing family along). Our Ownership Enquiry Centre is right beside the parking area for ease.
Head to the Ownership Enquiry Centre and you’ll be greeted by our Ownership Experience Receptionist, offered a complimentary drink and invited to relax in the Lounge before meeting the specialist team member you’ve already spoken with.
The Conversation
Your visit starts with a proper sit-down conversation.
We’ll talk about:
- Your lifestyle and how you holiday now
- What your ownership journey has looked like so far
- What you’d love more of (Coastal walks? Spa days? Family time?)
- Who would use the holiday home
- How holiday home ownership would benefit you
- How we can help this work for you
- Your long-term goals
- Any concerns or questions
This is your time. Ask anything. There are no silly questions.
We go at your pace - slow, relaxed and informative.
The Holiday Park Tour
Next, we’ll take you on a guided tour of the park you’ve chosen to explore.
You’ll see:
- Different areas and pitch locations
- The scale and layout of the park
- Views, surroundings and atmosphere
We’ll then return to the main hub to explore the facilities, including restaurants, bars, leisure amenities and social spaces, so you can truly picture yourself here.
By this point, around 60-90 minutes will have passed, but there’s no rush.
Exploring Your Ownership Options
Back in the Ownership Centre (and perhaps with another drink in hand), we’ll start looking more closely at what could work for you.
This is where we discuss:
- Your budget and financial considerations
- What size or style of caravan/lodge you prefer
- Pitch preferences
- How you’d like to use your holiday home
Based on everything you’ve shared and taking stock availability into consideration, we’ll usually show you up to three holiday homes that suit your criteria. You can take your time exploring, revisit favourites, compare layouts and ask as many questions as you like.
When you’re ready, we’ll provide a full, non-obligatory package quotation with a complete pricing breakdown so you can see all facts and figures clearly.
Lunch Is On Us
Once you’ve covered everything, you’ll receive a £30 voucher to enjoy a lunch on park. It’s the perfect opportunity to sample our restaurants and experience owner life from a guest perspective.
After all, holiday home ownership isn’t just about the caravan, it’s about the lifestyle.
Want to Explore More?
We actively encourage you to bring swimwear or gym kit if you’d like to explore facilities further in your own time.
Take a dip in the pool. Try the gym. Walk the park again at your own pace. This is about you deciding if it feels right.
A park visit is a discovery move, not a purchase commitment. Many visitors leave simply better informed. Owning a holiday home is a big decision. It should feel exciting and comfortable, never rushed.
Why Booking a Park Visit Is the Best First Step
Online listings and brochures are helpful, but nothing compares to:
- Seeing pitches in person
- Stepping inside real holiday homes
- Meeting the team
- Asking direct questions
- Experiencing the atmosphere
If you’re seriously considering buying a holiday home in Dorset or Cornwall, this is the clearest way to understand whether it’s right for you.
Ready to Explore Holiday Home Ownership?
If you’re curious about owning a holiday home by the coast but unsure what the process involves, booking a park visit could be the next step.
Your journey into holiday home ownership starts with a conversation, not a commitment.
